Library supporters and elected officials gathered in the Walpole Senior Center to get out of the rain on August 24th to celebrate the ground breaking for the new Walpole Public Library.  The library was established over 130 years ago in the back of a retail establishment.  A Carnegie Building replaced it about 100 years ago.  Now, the community has taken a major step to provide library services to future generations by beginning construction on a new library building.
