Catherine Utt Joins MLS as Business Manager

Catherine Utt joined the MLS team on August 30th. As Business Manager, Catherine will oversee library delivery services, financial operations, personnel, and supervise the administrative staff.

Catherine’s previous position was General Manager at a Louisiana branch of an international transportation company. Her staff consisted of eight and she was responsible for operations, personnel, financial operations, customer support, and vehicle maintenance. She is a graduate of UMASS/Amherst and holds an MBA from McGill University.

2010 Summer Reading Evaluation is open!

Our 2010 Summer Reading Program Evaluation form is ready! Click here to access the online form.

Please submit one form per library. Work with co-workers to gather statistics for all programs.
If your program isn’t over yet, don’t worry! The evaluation will be open until September 20, 2010.

Remember to count in person registrations as well as online registrations. You can access your online registrants by logging into your Admin site with your admin password and running reports for each program. If you need help accessing your online stats, please contact Evanced Solutions for assistance. (support@evancedsolutions.com).

Walpole Public Library Ground Breaking Ceremony – Member Library News

Library supporters and elected officials gathered in the Walpole Senior Center to get out of the rain on August 24th to celebrate the ground breaking for the new Walpole Public Library.  The library was established over 130 years ago in the back of a retail establishment.  A Carnegie Building replaced it about 100 years ago.  Now, the community has taken a major step to provide library services to future generations by beginning construction on a new library building.

A large turnout of library supporters met at the Senior Center on this rainy Tuesday morning. Later trustees and dignitaries moved outside for the ceremonial ground breaking.
