MLS Executive Board Nominations

Seeking Nominations to the Executive Board

The Massachusetts Library System (MLS) is seeking nominations to serve on the Executive Board.  Board members represent member libraries: academic, special, school, and public libraries from all parts of the Commonwealth.  Five board members will be elected for three-year terms, beginning January 2013.  A slate of candidates will be approved by the Council of Members at its November 2013 annual meeting.

The Executive Board governs the business and affairs of MLS.  It typically meets for three hours, twelve times a year.  Most meetings are held at the MLS headquarters in Marlborough and some are at other locations around the state.  The option to attend remotely is available; however in-person attendance is best.

If you are interested in serving on the Board, please complete the online self-nomination form at http://www.masslibsystem.org/executive-board-nomination-form/ by 5:00 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2013.

Please contact the Nominating Committee at nominations@masslibsystem.org if you have questions.  MLS bylaws are available at www.masslibsystem.org/bylaws.
